A natural colored maple wood globe is hand assembled with 1,000 square cut wooden sections. 665 hand cut pieces of dark Maple wood are hand cut and shaped into each country in order to contrast with the 335 hand cut pieces of light Maple wood to represent the oceans. The Longitude and Latitude line is made from 24k gold ribbon and hand applied. All lettering is hand applied to these finely detailed world globes. The world globe is hand painted, and coated with 10 layers of lacquer to protect the globe for generations to come. The solid wood stand is a rich mahogany finish. The genuine world globe is built to last. Dimensions 17"x17"x37", 39 pounds.
