The comfort fit wedding bands feature a rounded interior inside the ring. As the name implies, this ring fits more comfortably. Comfort fit wedding bands are heavier than standard fit bands and are more expensive. The rule of them for comfort fits is to order them a half a size smaller than a standard fit ring. Standard fit wedding bands feature a flat interior inside the band. Standard fit wedding rings are more affordable than comfort fit wedding bands, but are slightly less comfortable.

Comfort-Fit Wedding Bands

This is the most subjective question and depends on your personal taste and if the wedding band is paired with an engagement ring. Men tend to wear wider wedding bands in the 5mm to 8mm range and women usually prefer bands between 2mm and 6 mm wide.

Yellow gold is the standard and sells the most. White gold wedding bands have become more popular in recent years and are typically plated with rhodium for a brighter look. 18k gold wedding bands are slightly softer and the color is a purer darker yellow than 14k gold. Rose gold wedding rings have a copper colored tint and cater to a specialty audience. Two tone wedding bands are partly 14k white gold 14k yellow gold that are either woven or welded together. Platinum wedding bands are 95% platinum, very durable and resist scratching better than 14k or 18k gold wedding bands. Titantium and Tungsten carbide wedding bands are inexpensive and very durable.

The most common finish is a shiny bright finish. Other finishes include hammered, satin and florentine finish wedding rings. The bands are more exotic and hide scratches almost completely. These rings appeal to certain customers more than others, so this is a personal choice.

The basic styles are domed, half round, pipe cut/flat, milgrain, woven, tapered and Swiss cut. Most designs feature a comfort fit interior, but please check the description of the ring carefully to confirm this.
